Look what they send me...

Post by ciden »

Wasn't I surprised today to receive a gift from VWSA. It isn't much, just a keyring with a light and whistle activated beeper (so you can find your keys) - worth, say £3.00 - not much, but it's something.

I can now also access my personal info that VW has and change it as needed - nifty!

Very nice!

I wish VW Brasil sent its customers anything other than 2-page dealer evaluation forms... :?

Now, that is very nice.

On a kind-of-related note, what do we think of the Touareg ciggie lighter torch?

Hey that lighter rules.

Does it fit in any VW lighter-holder-thing, or are the Mk4 Golf and 9N different?

@ dub envy - hmmmm they just send it to me. They welcomed me to the VW family, suppose it's for that "feel good, you just bought a VW" factor :D

yeah I suppose..... the 'feel good while you can, you just bought a VW that you are about to plow an average years wages into, and that after a few years is gonna end up unreliable and give you nothing but grief' factor....

Could be that!!

I hate to think how VW sweetened up all the Mk2 Golf owners from new!!

Well, by this time next year, my car will be gone most probably - what I'm gonna replace it with is another question. I quite fancy the A4 - 1.8T or 1.9TDi.

Does it fit the cig lighter socket in your Polo?

Yeah, but the cover doesn't close (don't worry, I'm working on it :P )

Well, it doesn't look like I can do anything with mine

Three options:

1) Always keep the ciggie cover open
2) Ram the cover shut (this does work but you get a slight kink on the right hand side where the torch is hitting the cover)
3) Put it in your 12v socket in your boot (theres nothing there anyway!)
3) Put it in your tool box and use it in case of emergencies/wheel replacements at night (its very bright!). This is what i'll probably do, plus you can charge it when you need it.

Doesn't fit a MK5 at all, unless you put it in the 12v boot socket of course...!
