16V Steering Column Adjustment Problems

Hello

The steering wheel on my 16V won't stay locked in position. I've got the plastic covers off the steering column and the ends of a couple of brackets have broken off. The brackets appear to be fixed by shear bolts the the main body work.

Has anyone got any experience of this or of replacing these brackets themselves or of getting them fixed?

All advice greatly appreciated.

this happened to mine, some supporting bracket thing had snapped


i dunno how my garage fixed it, but they did.


its a ball ache though, when you turn and your wheels moving about
