Changing colour of Dial Filter
Can anyone help in changing the green colour of the older style speedo in the mk4?

Ok, here's the deal:
get the entire speedo unit out of your dash
take it apart, so that you can touch your dials and stuff
above your dials theirs a green piece of "paper" which makes the light turn green
get this paper out (without paper it's gonna be yellow light) and put in a paper (which you have to cut your self) in the colour you like
Put everything back together, and place the dials back in your dash
IMPORTANT!: don't use ordinary paper, use special paper which is used to hang in fornt of theaterlights and stuff, this will be heat resistant, which is necessary cause your dialslight will generate quit a lot of heat if their on for some time
Good luck!

Phil6N is right, this method only applies to the "old" 6N dials, the new one's are a different thing, don't really know how to change the colour of those, but try this:
http://www.blauetachos.de/
German company which sells colourchange sets for dials.
@tommy: This will change the colour of your dials, and the needles in the speedo and tacho. the colour of the milage-indicator (a km-indicator in my case
) will not change
