My concern is that if the cluster is so essential to the car that removing it would render the car useless? Not worried about MOT or something. Any modification is legal from where i'm from

Replacing the entire cluster
Hi. Just a question. is it possible to remove the entire cluster (the back panel and all) and replace it with third party universal racing guages? I plan to replace the stock tach with a racing type guage (tach and boost, shift light, digital oil pressure and h2o temp in one unit), the speedo with a matching speedo from the same company, fuel and amp guage where the h2o temp used to be. to do this, i have to get rid of the old cluster, punch out the holes from the stock face and insert the new guages.
