can snyone help me fit a new clutch cable!!
I havent got a clue on how to do it and I'l in Sheffield. VW dealers are a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey ya mate. im a Seat mechanic, the cluth calble is the same in an ibiza
all u gotta do is...
remove the wipers n scuttle panel, to be able to see the cable
undo it from the clutch mechanism on the g/box (2 10mm nuts)
then in the drivers footwell, the cluths pedal should be really loose now as the other end has been freed up. this will allow you to see more of the cable, which connects to the pedal. there is a grove in the pedal for the cable end to sit in, push/pull the end out.
there is a rigid plastic grommet which usually breaks, going from scuttle panel, through to footwell. probably worth getting one when u buy the cable
