Ignition Coil Unit, DIS Module

Post by inder »

If I replaced the DIS Module with a brand new one, what benifits would I get?

Nope old one was okay I guess, just got hold of a new part nice and cheap and so decided to change it anyway. Car felt choppy before, but now seems to have its power back, might be imagination :?

On that subject, do you know what ampage/vw part altenator is fitted to the mk5? Would re-newing this be useful?

No, leave it alone, it shouldn't require any maintainance. Its output is dependent on your battery, not how new it is.

They very rarely fail these days. Even if you connect them backwards. The guys at bosch even thought of that.
