You have fitted it wrong, the GTi splitter fits all of the MK5's i had one on mine, you just have to put 1 side on correctly, screw it in then go arround and make sure all of the clips are fully in place. when you get to the end it might be a bit short but this is okay. You just have to move it round as much as possible with light force so that it fits.

I thought the same thing but it was because the clips where not fitted fully. Stick your head under and have a look at the clips!

Your supposed to use the screws from the old splitter once its removed... both sides do fit its just you need to screw it into the first one so that your can fit it tight into the holes...

just tried fitting it again by screwing one side in first and im telling you there is no way the other side is gonna reach the end, there is like a 3-4 inch gap at its most streched state from reachin the other hole, if i strech it anymore the clips are going to break.

RIGHT do this:

- Take it fully off
- Put the 1st clip into place on the left side
- Put the screw in
- Right no lie on the floor facing up and slide under car
- Put each clip individually into the correct hole will pulling it tight

Once you get to the last clip if done right it will be about 1 inch or 1/2 inch too short you just have to really stretch it wround. Honestly it seems way too short, i thought this but it aint. Once it has been fitted once its easier to fit again!
