Feul Gauge

Since my car got put back on the road the petrol gauge hasnt worked properlyit bobs up and down like its on drugs.

I'm not that clued up on car problems and was thinking it could be the feul gauge, does anyone else know what else it could be.

I tried filling it right up and it stayed up untill the petrol wnet down and then started going nuts again.
The only way i can see much feul we have is by stopping on a flat surface.
