Wheel fitment for a Polo GTi

Post by Si_GTi »

Guys,

I've been offered the use of a set of alloys for a while whilst I go about getting my BBS rims refurbished. Problem is I'm not sure they're going to fit...

The wheels are 15", 6.5" wide, and on 195/50/15 tyres. All good there then. Problem is that they are ET20, they were bought by a mate to fit his Saxo (one of the special editions with VTS arches) but he took them off after finding that they scrubbed on the suspension on the rear of the car.

Will ET20 wheels fit my Polo? I understand the regular fitment is ET38, so does this mean they will stick out miles from the arches?

Cheers

i wouldnt have thought you will have any probs if your car is not lowered, it does mean that they stick out 18mm more than the standard rims but cant see this being a prob as they're only 6.5" wide...

put it this way i'm jus putting on 8" wide rims with ET15 and ~70mm drop!!

Thanks Scott, for the advice 8)

I'm having my boot fixed in the morning so when that's done I'll take one of the alloys and trial fit it when I get a few minutes and see how it looks :)

Cheers
