Front Top Struts.
Are the 6n , 6n2 (16vetc) and the 6n2 GTi the same ?
6n , 6n2 top struts
I got a second hand set of springs. Guy said they came from a GTi and were fitted on it before.
Me and My mate were down the day fitting them. Rear first - went all ok.
Got to the front. Went to put the new one on and the top strut was too big for the end spring coil. Ahh s**t........
So does the GTI have the same strut tops as my 1.4 16v 6n2 or are they smaller ?? Or is the guy talking s**t and he had a 6n ?
If he did have a 6n - can i change my top struts to 6n ?
If he did have a GTi - can i put on some GTi top struts ?
Cheers for any help. Failing changing the top struts going to have to get new springs.
