Uprated Sidelights
Just thought Id post this as its a very common thing!
I noticed that when my headlights were on dipped or where just on parking lights they have a very 'yellow' glow so I decided to look for some brighter and whiter sidelight bulbs and found these babies!!
Also bought some brighter headlight bulbs but could do with a new loom

You should do, mine has the same loom and my sidelights work as they always have done.pettsy wrote:i've got one of steve-o's uprated looms so don't have the just sidelights function anymore.also have some uprated bulbs too
I have my dim-dip wiring unplugged though. Do your sidelights work when the keys aren't in the ignition?
If you unplug the dim dip wiring (which is a plug by the fusebox with yellow (iirc) wiring and a rectangular semi-transparent connector) then your sidelights may work again.
I bought some Vision Plus bulbs a week or so ago, they came with free Extreme White sidelight bulbs, these are blue-coloured bulbs that glow white strangely enough.

As Krupa says, you do need to disable the dim-dip, and then you should get you're sidelights back. I think it mentions about that too in the instructions. Upgrading the bulbs is a wise idea too, as I know someone who put Steve-O's loom on with standard bulbs, and the standard bulbs kinda went 'pop!'.

Ive got the single LED versions of them in my GT. Was tempted to get those but at the time there was a disclaimer saying something like "may fail if positioned less than 3 inches from main headlight bulb." and with me having 90/100W xenon bulbs in the GT i didnt wanna risk it. The main bulbs ive got are like krupa described too, blue lens but glow white, so they match with the led bulbs well.
