Check
www.kw-gmbh.de
They have coilovers that will go down to 65mm. Take those mm's with a pinch of salt though, in many cases they list the drop that is acceptable to the German TüV, but IRL they can go down further. Don't know if this is the case with KW too, but it is common practice.

I don't know any slammed 9N's personally, but judging from these pics:
KW Var. 2 on 18's
KW Var. 2 on 17's
KW Var. 2 on 16's
KW Var. 2 on 17's (claimed -85mm)
KW Var. 1 on 17's
KW Var. 1 on 17's (our very own Mole)
I am slightly biased since my Var. 2's are in the mail, but the only other coilovers I could find were custom made H&R's.

mmmm, polo9n.com, i never knew about that site!
Well KW Varient2s are looking favourable then, they sit JUST about low enough
The difference between V1s and V2s is just the V2s have damping adjust too yeah?
Cool, alex, your a welth of knowledge

What about a set of Airbags? Rayvern will supply and fit a set for £950 all in.
Massive drops and no messing about with C spanners!

yeah maybe, but whats the ride like with them?
and where are they based?

That's it Mark - the V2 have adjustable damping.
Airbags are an option too, as Karl suggested. It's the Big Thing now. Remember those Mk3 Golfs from the Netherlands that were featured in PVW? Both of them are now rockin' bags.

Air bags give a similar ride to your standard suspension but can be adjusted by regulating the amount of air in them. ie if the cars is jacked up then the bag is full of the air and the suspension is quite firm.
Rayvern are developing hydraulic kits which have coilover type systems in the boot for adjusting ride.
See my post in Chassis (airbags) which has some contacts details.
Careful with there website though.......
i spent an hour or so on it and am now completly addicted to the lo rider scene! looking for a derby to fit 'dancing' hyraulics to - with wire wheels and candy paint!

ok, ill check it out.
The thing is that vikki richards (girl with the bright pink mk4) has hydralics on her polo and she said the ride is a little uncomfortable at best, i dont want that as i do about 25k miles a year!
ill check it out though, thanks!

true, but she has hydros and airbags are quite different. the design of them means there is less pressure which means more movement which means softer ride!
believe me mate i've had this disscusion with many a person and there really isnt a strong arguement against Bags other than the price!

i just want to add that if your wanting toi get kw stuff and want to put it on its belly get the V2`s as you WILL need to go most of the way hard to stop bottoming out
oh and also the suspension isnt nessesarly the limit to how low you can go, on my mk5 i ended up at -12cm at the front (for inters cos a certain member on 16"`s looked lower

) and rater than damaging the suspension i enged up with my RHS driveshaft hitting the subframe, chassis leg, back of the sump etc so watch out for that
oh and also before you go totally belly down get a front lower strut brace. i have an omp skid plake (for a mk4 but it can fit) however when im in totally slammed mode it actually suports the car a little because it hangs down a bit, and that strut brace has saved me a ot of times (hence the curve on it

)
