speaker/tweeter advice

Hi im looking to replace my speakers in my 6n , i dont no weather too get coaxial speakers in the door or components.
If i get coaxial speakers what should i do with the standard tweeters will they sound ok left in or can i just disconnect?

components would be the way to go. coaxs would almost never improve on the 6N standard setup, which is very good.

You'll have to spend aBOUT 80 quid to improve on VW. Alpine type S or type R's are a good starting place
