Rear Wheel bearings

Post by howett »

Hi guys,

Had MOT today and they identified that both rear wheel bearings would need replacing soon as there is some 'play' there. Strange thing is they were done only a year ago - surely they cannot need doing again? Is this a common fault?

As for some background - have not modified in any way etc.

Thanks in advance.

Even tho it was done a year ago doesnt mean they do not need doing again... It's one of them weird things... It shouldn't go that quick tho but if it does... it needs fixing.

My dad had a same problem aswell where it happened in a years time (thats why im replying, otherwise Im clueless in these things)

Out of curiousity... did they pass you? (Im guessing not since you've posted here lol... just curious)

Good Luck in sorting it out!

As above

also worth noting they wear quicker if you've got bigger alloys on

Thanks,

It did PASS but was noted as needing to be looked at. As I say, don't have alloy's so that isn't the problem and is not driven that frequently - but as you say if it needs doing then it needs doing!
