Storm Single wipers

Post by polopowah »

Well this post is just a rant at the above!

a few of you know that about a week ago my single wiper flew off into a neighbour's rose bush as i drove past (tell me what are the chances!)

so after finally untangling the blade that flew off i managed to get it back home and mend it, luckily all that was wrong was the clip had come loose wasn't too much hassle and then i proceeded to drive off (already being 15mins late for work)

about 3 miles down the road it started raining again, so i flicked my wiper on and NOTHING, it just sat there parked in the middle of the screen ARGH NOOOOO, at this point i couldn't see where i was going and i had a car right behind me so trying to pull in somewhere was a nightmare.

pulled up outside some run-down factory, popped the bonnet had a look at everything and i couldn't believe what had happened. The linkage that makes the wiper move had snapped (somehow) so i was right p*ssed off at this point knowing that i was about 5 miles from home, 10 miles from work and nearly 30 mins late!

anyway i limped home whilst it was still raining (had the head out of the window Ace Ventura style) and got home and put my standard wipers back on...rang work and aplogised.

anyone else have a storm wiper? its been a nightmare to me! now im after some Aero front wipers if anyones willing to part exchange a single wiper in about 4 bits

apologies for the essay and anyone who bothers to read it :P (shout-out to Tahrey!)

Storm single wipers are usually high quality stuff.

Very unusual.

I was considering buying one aswell.

Am I right in guessing you're a bit p!ssed off Ben.

You lasted longer than I would have done. I nearly pulled a door off the frame at work because the fire hose I was pulling kept getting stuck the other week
