Just picked up my new polo s. Just wondered about something.
When i press down or release the brake pedal i get a slight clicking sound, sounds like an electrical switch (maybe switching the break lights on?). I didnt notice this on a test drive. Does everyone else get this?

Yep, I get this too. It's obviously the sound of a microswitch being activated to turn on the brake lights. Funny that my previous 2 Polos didn't do it though - maybe VW think its better this way?JimmyC wrote:Just picked up my new polo s. Just wondered about something.

I took it in to the dealer when i got it (4 months ago now!) to tell them about it and they spent about 3 hours looking at it. They agreed it wasnt normal, but there wasnt actually a fault with anything so they couldnt (wouldnt?) fix it. Said the only way it would get fixed is if it's a common problem and VW recall all Polos made at that time (it didnt happen with the polo i had a test drive in). Said it might take 6 months, i said b*******s.
