I'm new here, and I'm getting a 6N!

Post by SEAT_UK »

Hey there,

I've just got rid of my 02 Ibiza 1.2, mainly because it was very unreliable and I couldn't afford to keep pouring money into the pit.
So as a stop gap buying a 96 Clio 1.2 (oh joy, well it will get the job done)
But in a month or two (all going to plan) I should be the proud owner of my sisters 98 1.4 Polo CL.

Its done 120k, and is mechanically perfect, new cambelt, discs/pads etc - needs some body work - lower front valance, and bit of rust. But shes selling it to me for £500 and putting new set of tyres on it.

Quoted £300 for body work, but I want to get new wheels (seen some genuine new VW wheels only 14" but they will make the car look better and not effect the insurance) plus brand new there only £160 for the set and can use the same tyres!

I would also like if possible to get a rear lip spoiler for the hatch,
some clear front indicators,
tinted rear lights,
and crystal lenses for the indicators on the side.

Keep it nice and simple, clean - may lower it but probally not.

So where can I get these parts at a decent price. Oh and lets see some inspiration.

Thanks for the help guys/gals!

Very excited.

:D

CLICK!
The car about a year ago looking a bit shabby but sure I can get it looking good again. The interior is perfect condition.

Welcome to the forum.

The car sounds good and you cant go wrong for £500. Some of the parts you're after can be bought from here; if you look at the bottom of the index page theres a section called 'Mail order genuine VAG parts' or something on those lines and if you just ask one of the fellowes down there theyll sort you out; as long as the parts are genuine VW parts (the indicators are)

The picture you posted isn't working; dont ask me why though lol

Good luck

Welcome to the forum!

I had 3 MK4 ibizas, a 1.4 16v 100bhp and 2 PD130s. My first one leaked and killed a gearbox, my second one was perfect but I foolishly sold it, and my third one had been in a smack at some point and wasn't perfect.

The Polo looks alright, are you sure its running 14s though? They look like 13s to me!
