Also i went along to my local Dastek rolling road today to see what the car was pushing out (outta curiousity) :?

The cars mods are a carbon fibre induction kit and a powerflow stainless exhaust system with decat.

I'm looking into a chipping the car but still looking into it. :D

The results are here in the below links to see what you's think (they are as i'm unsure how to upload pics to the forum :( ).

VAG Parts, they have a section on this forum mate.

They're pretty good on price and service, they're a little fiddly to cut and fit but all in all only took me about an hour to measure, make a template, cut them and fit them 8)

Looks smart mate. Wish we'd had snow like that.

You must be happy with your RR run. Good figure.

Mine made 131.7 standard at a recent RR day at bedrock. i was well chuffed.

Here's my print-out.

I wouldn't mind fitting a BMC induction kit to mine some time this year, and see how that works out for me. Combined with my Powerflow cat-back I would hope to see in the region of 131-135bhp running on BP Ultimate? Nice. I'd like a go on a rolling road, might look into how to go about arranging one 8)

hmm, strange figures

says max power at 7000rpm?

i thought the rev limiter was at 6800?

VERY odd peak power level too!

normally stock power is at around 6050rpm (just like one above)

Any idea what the actual figures at the wheels were?

Afraid i can't help you's with @wheels figures.
Don't know how to work it out.

P.s The GTi's must be running over the standard 125 bhp, as i've seen a few with results over 130.
:D :D :D

I'm gonna be taking a trip down to cheshunt for a mates wedding in june and wouldn't mind nipping in past someone elses rolling road on way down to see if they say the same power figures.

My rev limiter cuts in at 7000, I ran 132.5 on a standard car and my peak power was at just under 6100 as you say though. Probaly his mods have moved the power up the revs a little.

My Rev Limiter doesn't kick in till needles all the way round at 7 on rev counter as well the same as dangerous daves(which i thought was normal) as aint had another gti to compare against.

Any one else any ideas why my power comes in so high

Would the air filter and decat system really raise it ?
