Fuel Return On A 5dr 1.4L ???

Fuel return on a 1.4L

I am still thinking whether there is something wrong with my polo 1.4L as itâ€™s only seems to give me about 60-65 miles on 11.62 liters which is about Â£10 in petrol.
I only drive around town but I still canâ€™t believe its only giving me 23.4 miles per gallon?
What do you people get in your cars around town or am I just being over paranoid? lol

I've got a 1.3L, do mostly town driving and I drive like a tw@

Â£37 of optimax (full tank) gets about 270 miles, could probably push it to 300....but it never happens.

in my 16v I get about 129miles to about Â£20 of super super juice

Had 410miles out of a tank before from filler neck to coughing. I just got 32miles from a fiver, so your about right there.

At this time of year fuel economy always drops its because of the cold weather the car burns fuel faster, things you can check to keep fuel economy up are

*Hot air breather pipe connected
*Clear air filter
*Clean Idle valve (open the airbox, its the hole in the middle)
*Good plugs
