Gettin ready to pimp my ride Lol!

Post by SAM_MK4_19D »

I've got my un molested little red polo sat ready. Don't think she knows whats coming. So far I have the following stacked up ready:

Momo Race, snap off & Boss
Richbrook gearknob

De-badged grille
Clear indicators
Jewel side repeaters
Black rear lights (not painted ones tho)
195/45/15 tyres

Still waiting for the following to arrive:

Ronal R10 turbo's from Germany due any time.
Jamex 60mm kit from Banshee motorsport due any time.

Future developments to come:

Tinted windows (after replacing windscreen due to crack)
Angel eyes (chrome or black can't decide)
Sub & Amp
rieger front & 16v rear bumpers
Private plate (want old black/silver style to go with black/red theme but don't know whether this is possible).
Single Wiper with smooth arm.

Plus I already have in my Sony TFT monitor head unit, sony door & dash speakers, stealth shelf fitted with 320w kenwood 7x10's (Loud!).

And i'm going to utilise a few free mods while i'm on:

Remove the 1.9DL & POLO badges
Remove the rear vee dub badge spray it gloss black and then re-fit.
Good Valet & new vanilla magic tree!!!

Its gonna be just like pimp my ride once my wheels and suspension arrive. Thought it would be more impressive to do it in a oner than over a long time! Been really hard to stop my self fitting the bits I've had building up for 6 months!

I'll get some pics uploaded of her before, during & after once I've done. Just need my suspension kit and wheels then its all systems go. Can't wait.

Black and Silver plates are possible but chances are, you'll get stopped for them unfortunately.

I don't mean just getting show plates. I actually mean changing the reg and log book for like a vinatage plate. Just don't know how much they are. I've seen a porsche rolling round Harrogate with 911 on a black and silver plate. Would change the reg for anything but preferably would like my initials on it somewhere.

Well Banshee motorsport haven't sent my suspension yet! I paid for it last weekend. Not impressed! Wheels are coming from Germany and I ordered them on Sunday so hopefully won't be long now.

Doesn't matter, if the car isn't the age for Black and Silver you can't legally have them.

So unless your Polo was made before the 1st January 1973, chances are you'll get pulled for them 8)

You will definately get pulled for back and silver plates on a newer car. perhaps if it was a mk1 polo or something older than you may get away with it more but you will get pulled for sure with them on a mk4.

my mate had them on his black golf vr6 around 10mins before he was pulled and fined.

IMO mate its not worth the risk of running something as obvious as black and silver ones. Ive got D plates on mine, and although they are illegal they are white fronts and yellow rears and look less obvious than black ones. ive had mine on for a year and i havent been stopped yet *touch wood*

Ah right. I didn't realise there was a cut off point for the age of car you see. I just thought it may be available like a private plate. I certainly am not gonna just get my current reg made up in black and silver as its clearly illegal. Never mind. Would have looked nice though!

 I'm like that too
I seen a few modified mk4s with orange indicators & repeaters and everything else is done :?
I think it makes the car look ugly & old (well it is old), but then again these standard ones make mine look good  (well...better lol)

Gone for a full Jamex kit so it's shockers and springs anyway mate. When I lowered my old car (106) by 60mm on standard shocks it struggled and bounced so I won't be making that mistake.

I'll be getting all my piccies up soon but sadly I'm still waiting for my suspension and my Ronals! Itchin to get started but sadly can't yet. :-(
