hi i have an infinity 4 channel amplifier, i want to run a sub and 2 6x9's of it but i dont know how to bridge it, i tried running the sub from the posi of one chanel then negative off the other channel, i then put the 6x9's in teh top two channels and the sub works but the speakers dont, can any one help me?
also i was wondering what settings like freq and bass would be best?

Amp help!!
hello,
you are corrct to bridge the amp by saying that you use 1+ and 1- of two channels( say like the top row- but each end),but check on amp as may be that it runs off the bottoms channels
have you checked that you have got some selectable switches on the amp so it knows what to do, ie 1 bridged channel for sub and 2 other channels one each for 6x9s
as for setting the bass and freq. for sub check the manual as this will give a guide, other thn that use your own judgement
hope this helps

it doesnt mean a thing, some amps use the top, some amps use the bottom run of connectors, to be sure have a look on the amp where the speaker terminals are and it will show you which row has to be bridged....
+ - + -
'--------------' something like this
bridged
so your other speakers will connect to the other row,
for the sub channel start with the gains on minium, volume setting at a reasonable level on head unit, then the gains on the amp start to turn up until it starts to distort then back off slightly, make sure that the balance and fade settings on head unit are all equal to before you start.
