ok opinions

sony are s**t for in car audio. trust me in know i still have a sony setup and i wish i hadnt got it. the sound isnt as dynamic as other makers like alpine and boston acustics.

dont like the smoked indicators with the standard lights.

the rear clustars look like they belong on a corsa.

and for the love of god dont get a 5" exhaust. at the moment im driving round with no rear silencer adn its driving me crazy. its a nice sound but wayy to loud. get a subtle 3" bore zorst not to noisy when crusing but under full throttle it gives it some welly.

needs lowering and some nice dished alloys. other than that its a smart car.

sorry to be so blunt but thats my opinion and feel free to slate my car as its nearly standard.

@warrmr
ok, u've practically slated everything hes done to the car mate!! :?

@djj123
ok firstly, welcome to the forum, theres lots of people on here that are very knowledgeable and should be able to answer any questions u throw at them!!

good choice of car, valvers, as they are known always go down well!!
the indicators will work well with the car when u get those black angel eyes on (which by the way look awesome!)

i agree with warrmr about the exhaust, get something more subtle, 3" bore or twin dtm always work well!! check out companies called Powerflow, Remus and Milltek!!

the car does need a spot of lowering i feel, not too much, probably about 30-35mm. are those alloys 16s?? if they are them u may be able to go to 50mm with the right setup!!

as for the rear clusters, i'll warn u now, there are not many fans of lexus lights on the forum including myself, but it is an each to their own sorta thing, and i like that u have gone for the smoked ones rather than clear style!! if u like 'em then thats all that matters!!

on the whole tho ur car is coming along nicely, looks nice and clean aswell, i'm sure u will pick up lots of ideas during ur stay!!!

with the black angel eyes the smoked lenses may look good.

was was being pretty much and areshole about some of the things hes done but there not to my tastes. as for cheap angel eyes ill have a look for ya. speak to john @ 2modified [email protected] he may be able to get them cheap hes a top bloke aswell.

from germany £110+ p and p

and they look like standard 16v alloys so they would be 14" i think

I'd ignore the 3000watt though mate, as that's the maximum power, it's 1000w RMS

I don't think it looks too bad to be honest, don't get a 4" or 5" exhaust though mate, keep them for Jap cars. 3" or 3.5" is ok :D

@ Warrmr

nothing wrong with Sony Audio......VW used sony for their component speakers from 1996-2002 they can't be that bad!
previously Blaupunkt, not sure what vw use now.

I have a sony set-up and i've had comments on how good it sounds, each to their own ain't it.

welcome to the forum DJ, the car looks good, only thing i'd change would be the rear lights, and possibly lowering it.

Welcome.

The car looks pretty good to me and I'm normally right picky. Do go careful with the exhaust though - my valver's bog standard and it still makes a racket on the motorway. A nice racket, but it can gets a bit annoying. They do sound ace when being caned though...how about a letterbox exhaust?

Nice car anyway :D

ok i have a sony sub and amp with a JVC head unit. and it soulds ok and just ok yes i have had comments on how good it sounds but there from some of the people i work with and they like rap/hiphop/rnb or the other one is into dance trance. so thats good cos they have cool basslines. and its tuned for that kind of frequancy.

but when you want some nice easy listning like michelle branch or venessa carlton i need to turn teh sub right down to appreciate there beautifull voices.

mabe im just a snob and stick to brands i like.

i tend to do it with everything i buy

AMD over intel
Nvidia over ATI
VAG over fiat/alpha ect
FK over spax
jvc over sony
meguires over carplan

thats true, everyone seems to stick to things they like or have trust in!!

for example all my electrical equipment is Sony and i will probably always have VAG cars!

i think one we will agree with is non-chav over chav!!
