i have got a cd changer for my polo its a panasonic dp88 does my polo already have a wire fitted for a cd changer to be installed in the boot or do i ahve to buy one? and if so wat wire do i need?

I dont know the anser but if you take it to halfords they will tell you ... [they did for my other car anyway]

I should imagine you'll need a cable that's compatible with the CD Changer you have, the CD Changer VW use will have a wire that as far as I know will only work with that one.

Yep as above, the lead is only for VW branded cd changers and their headunits. plug shape is different and the headunit will not allow a 3rd party changer to be used unless you buy a box of tricks to fool it into thinking its attached to a vw changer

i.e. you will need to run a panasonic cd changer lead for it

and no, the lead will not be present if you don't have a cd changer in the boot from factory

yea... i have one in my car that im not using...

i've been meaning to take it out and sell it but i cant be arsed taking the carpets up to get the wire out *sigh*
