1998 Polo Indicator Problem

Hi
I've just bought an R reg Polo 1.4 CL for my wife. I got a bargain, but there's a few niggles.

When turning left the indicator does not automatically cancel after the turn. It cancels fine when turning right.

Can anyone tell me how to remedy this?

Think you'll be needing a new indicator stalk, theyre cheap and easy to come by at scrappies, MK2 Seat ibiza ones also fit.
