Newbie - Stereo Query & Wheels

Post by mister_burns »

Hi All.

Picking up my Park 4 1998 S plate 1.4 CL on Wednesday  Currently its running with the standard radio cassette and the steel wheels with centre cap.

How easy is it to swap out the VW stereo for a single slot CD player? Ive been looking on the net for the correct ISO interface lead and car audo direct etc dont list one, justa funny aeriel converter. Does it already have a ISO connection that I can use with no faff? WHats the deal?

Also wheels - If I take out the center car covering the bolts can I fil some later VW trips over the whole wheel? I'm not into that steel wheel painted siolver look and alloys arent on the menu for a while.

Thanks for the help (if I get any! )

This is it at the garage in the hail at the weekend:

You need to swap the red and the yellow wires around on the ISO end of the STEREO loom. stops it forgetting the settings

Yeah everything is a straight swap near enough mate, shouldnt have any trouble with what you said.
