Door handles and side mirror opitons?
I'd like to change the door handles of my mk3 to the ones without the door lock? what are they? Do I have any other options?

the de-locked handles are done by using rear handles from a 5 door mk2 golf, and this guide tells you exactly how to do it

as for the mirrors, not really a massive choice...M3 and DTM mirrors are widely "not liked" around the polo scene so people tend to find their own original sets.

or you could smooth it and not have a handle at all, and on the top gutter along the side of the car (mk2 polos have it not sure abotu mk3) or on the mirror moulding you could have a switch connected to a actuator that openes the door, good for security and looks GOOOODD, would be better if its a show car...
that sounds like a better idea ! i had my polo broke into on saturday ! by the looks of it they did it for a laff !!! b*stards! nothing to steal and ignition ok ???? any1 got ne guides to de-handle ? do alarms come with motors etc for central locking , or do i av to fit a kit then c/l ? dont wana spend silly on all singin alarm if i can help it ? cheers .

you can get central locking kits frmo ebay for £10, i think there is a guide in the diy section and also you need to fit central locking before you fit an alarm!...for a basic alarm and central locking would set you back £90 plus fitting which isnt that bad if you are going to keep the car for a while
i posted a link above on how to simply de-lock your handle and as for the guide on remote central locking, it's here... http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... hp?t=18788
