Door lock Help

driver's lock just seams to turn and turn

im needing help on what it could b was going to atempt to take the door card off but couldnt get the dam thing off

has been like this for a while no im just geting round to trying to fix it only thing is now when puting the window down it sounds like the windows grinding on some thing im thinking it could b the lock

any help would b gr8

You don't need to bother taking the door card off, just remove the handle, it is held in by one bolt with a splined head located on the end of the door, undo that and slide the handle forward then it should pull out......a simple solution if u have remote central locking and it is the lock thats gone would be to fit delocked handles (5 door rear handles).

not got remote central locking m8 does this involve new locks all round

on another note ive just looked and dont have any thing that will unscrew the screw

I think it's a torx type bolt/screw. If the lock is knackered you can probably replace only the one lock/handle but this door would need a different key. I think it might be possible to get the same lock barrels made by VW if you have your key number. Expect this to cost a bit though, I reckon (guess) about £50-£65.

Just get it out then check up closer first though.
Does the door handle inside work ok?
