Strange knocking when I steer

I am getting knocking through the pedals when I steer!!! anyone else have had this? pissing me off, hope it's not the pump. You can't feel the knocking through the steering wheel though?

i get this in my polo, i can only feel it through the steering wheel though, i have driven 3 polos all brnad new and the knocking noise only starts after a couple of weeks. The noise only occurs when at lows speeds like coming off a road at a junction or driving across rough surfaces like cobbles. its so annoying!

Well had it up on a two poster, turns out it is my driveshaft that is knocking! the only thing it has done is made it shiny where it is rubbing, is this going to become a prob. Have angle grinded the area it is knockin and the knock is a lot less.

What do you all think, would changing my wheels make a difference. Running 15's at the mo, would dropping to 14's help?
