hi i posted this in the mkv section but got no replies

would gti front brake discs fit on my 1.4 8v as my brakes are rubbish
if yes would i need new calipers of would the old ones fit?

I beleave you will need new hubs as the carriers are not fully removable so you can't put the 256/280mm on a couple of folk with Lupos have down this upgrade its looks like a fair amount of work though as you also need to change the calipers.

I would believe Dangerous Dave is correct, the GTI uses ventilated discs and unless your 1.4 came with them you would need new calipers as the ventilated discs are thicker.

If you are planning on going the whole hog you might as well go for the G60 brakes as they are bigger and would be be more powerful than the GTIs...

well my polo has vented discs discs so might the gti discs just fit straight on!?
