right
theres on the inside of the door, the door window winder (if you have keep-fit wndows) cover needs pulling back, theres a screw there and i believe 2 more in the centre of the door when you take the cover off the handle inside the door.
And don't forget to unscrew the door pin
then its a case of pulling the door one clip at a time right around the edge (don't be scared to use abit of force)

not a great description but i dont have my haynes manual anymore and quite frankly that was abit pooey for instructions!

door pin is the lock pin at the top of the door, only screws one way.

the cover simply pops off its a long rectangle shape, easiest way to get it off is to pull the inside door handle.

Be careful tho.. the clips are easily damaged.. I damaged a clip (and also I snapped the handle covering the screws) removing my door card on the front passenger side but there cheap to replace you can get them at your local VW dealer.. cost me about £3 for the handle cover thingy and the clip.. clips are probably around 50p.. but yeah dont be afraid to use abit of force.. I found it bit difficult putting the door card back on tho :?

ditto, in short it can be a nightmare if they've never been taken off before!
