Momo wheel in airbag model (Removing Airbag Light????)

Post by SAM_MK4_19D »

Hi All,

I've fitted my Momo race steering wheel and my snap off. The problem is I now need to remove my airbag light. Stripped the dials out last night and looks like I need to take the pointers off and remove the dials to get at it. Am I right? Mine is a post 98 with the warning lights in a rectangle between the rev counter and the speedo with the fuel and temperature guages above.

Have also heard you can solder in a resistor so it tricks it and the light goes out as usual after being fired up.

Look forward to a reply.

Sam. :L

The resistor would be a much better idea than removing the bulb as you won't get the fault code logged on the ECU.

Now I haven't a clue what sort of resistor you need, but I have heard of it being done before, so someone must know the correct type...
