coolant light flashing!!

Post by akz786 »

Started the car, drove about few mins (no temp on guage even) and the light starts to flash ...keeps flashing, so few mins later stopped car. no overheating. went back home topped up even thou level seemed fine. Now light has gone off Done this few times recenlty? so is this the coolant temp senor, whers is that part located?

also been told it may be thermostat?

Thanks in advance

yes could be thermostat...mine was doing that recently but it was the water pump...but mine was overheating like a beeehatch...cause the coolant wasnt getting pumped it was just boiling up in the bottle...and over-flowing water pumps only about 25-30squid from VAG...but you have to get engine jacked up to fit it...probabily wise aswel o have you cambelt done at the same time if it is that...
