Anyone know the leak
Anyone know the leak
Spotted fluid leaking from under the drivers side floor...ie under the car not from inside out...its dripping onto the road...had a look and its comming from what appears to be two rubber tubes going the length of the car....its not oil...more like water.
Anyone any ideas....I'm asuming its just a perished tube...but what is it for.
Cheers for any help.

Had a talk with a non VW mechanic...he had a look and pulled out the rubber plug that is where the pipes go into a bolted on section of undercarrage...basically a whole lot of water gushed forth...not continious..it stopped after a while....so he checks my levels and finds all of them spot on...his idea was that it could be 2 things.
1: the section of metal that covers the pipes could have gathered rainwater and basically become filled.
2: the pipe carrying what he thinks is the water to the rear washers being perrished...which in his words he wouldnt bother with as its a right bugger to get off and replace....its not pouring out its just a dribble so he said to watch my levels to make sure the water from the washer tank isnt going down and if it is make the decision whether to spend 100+ quid to get the pipe fixed...most of that in labour he said.
Hope that helps anyone with a simular prob.
