Hey!! Help!! NEWBIE here

Post by minesh »

1998 Polo 1.4CL 8v (6N).

Control Module Part Number: 030 906 027 P
Component and/or Version: MOTRONIC MP 9.0 2105
Software Coding: 0261203915
Work Shop Code: 1037355253
1 Fault Found:
00533 - Idle Speed Regulation
09-00 - Adaptation Limit Surpassed

Any ideas what this may be, I dont get any rough or bouncy idle? Its steady at 840rpm, also does anyone know how to do a TB adaption with VAG-COM?

However i get s**t MPG (about 25MPG), but my lamda sensor and water temp sensors are perfect :? No engine mods, just replaced spark plugs, air filter and pollen filter about 3 months ago...

Any help is much appreciated!! 8)

Thanks in advance

It might be an old code which has stayed there because its not been cleared?
As its running fine, you can either reset the ECU and see whether the code is still there OR because its running ok leave it. As they say, "If its not broke dont fix it!" :D

Is it when i disconnect the battery for a couple of hours and then take it for a long drive??

The cars running fine but its drinkin too much petrol. 220 miles from 40 litres...

i was suprised that lamda sensor and water temp sensor is fine.
