New or old? or older?Opinionsplease!!

Post by Mk4Mexican »

Originally i had the standard grille with silver VW, but as you guys might remember about two months ago i put on a mesh one, which really asked some questions!!!

But now i've put the old grille back on but with a black badge.

what should i do? leave as it is (which i think is the nicest option) put the silver VW back on? or put the mesh one back on?

let us know boys!!

thanx

in my opinion if you have some money get a fully ed-badged grill like mine? but stick the 16v badge bk on.

id use the mesh one personally. I think there are far too many standard grills. its rare to see anything different. I personally sport a colour coded grill with chrome badge. its better then yours. Naturally

I think the standard grille is the best looking for the 16v Polo!!! I prefer the silver VW badge on! However, I don't mind the black badge, as I think it looks ok on the Polo as well. Its fully up to your choice really!

yeah, thought of that, but i cant do it myself, so have to get a paint shop to do it, so bit more expensive, but i'm still considering it, as i have another totally standard grill put away!

is yours done? how did you do yours?

16v Grille

Post by martin9aj »

Nooooooo!
Do not colour-code it and have a black badge!
Trust me...
...From a distance and from oncoming cars it just looks as tho your badge has fallen out or been stolen! honestly, it just looks as tho you have no badge.

Black standard grill, black badge, but change the 16v badge to a mk5 badge which has chunkier, shiney chrome 16v... and i know how too make it fit this grill.

Or

Debadged grille WITH just a 16v badge

...the only mesh grill that looks good on a Polo has got to be a KAMEI

can still see the colour thought! but my colour is going to be a bit harder i reckon!
cus i got to get the right colour and shine!

i quite like the thiner mk4 16v badge, rather than the mk5 one!

yeah, if colour coded i'm gone put a silver badge!

this is all so hard to make a decision, in my mind it all looks good!

Black badges are good, the whole point is that it looks like its not there but it is, its subtle. Although a friend drove past me and then when i next saw her she asked if someone stole my badge when i was in the mk4 lol.
