Rear Drums

Post by Phil6N »

Came back from a 1week holiday the othere day, came back rear brakes knackered, so i replaced the springs, shoes and cylinders, both sides.
The problem is now, the key wedge falls to far down when the foot brake is pressed, which then locks up the brakes, but then if you yank the handbrake a couple of times it helps back off the lockin go the wheels slightly. I have also have blead the brakes.
Now all the springs are in the correct place, all the parts are the same, and i have got everything the right way round.
I have been baffled all day as to what it can be, the only thing left to change would be the the handbrake cable, the wedge key and horisontal bar, that spaces out the two shoes. Only thing i can thing that would have a major affect would be the cable.
Really baffled so hope anyone can help me.
Many thanks
