Wheels

Post by Gaz »

Hi all, I have a new Polo, 1.2E - pathetic engine I know, but I'm only 17, and insurance costs in Northern Ireland are madness.

I was just wondering if the Montreal II rims (I think thats them) off the Mk4 Golf GTi would fit straight onto my Polo?

As far as I know, both have the fitment of 5*100, and the same offset, but I was wondering, and I know it may sound stupid, is there enough room under the arches for the rims?

The car's not lowered at the minute, but may be at some stage in the future. I'd guess if I was to lower the car with these rims on the arches would need rolled, at least?

hello mate, welcome to the forum!!

the wheels from the golf gti mk4 are 16s i do believe and if the are the same offset and PCD then the wheels will have no problems fitting under the arches!! especially as its not lowered yet!!

arch rolling probably will not be necessary, depends how much u lower the car!! with 16s, u can go as low as 60mm definately with no problems wot so eva!!
