Black B Pillars

Post by neilw »

Just done My B pillars in black vinyl, well one side so far. What do you think? I know its been done before and you've probably all seen pics of it before but what the heck!

Also my hidden agenda for this post.... If anybody wants some to do it themselves see the "For Sale" section, as i could only order in a massive roll of the stuff. I have two cuts left at the mo.

I think u need to tint the windows to blend it in, the other guy who did this had tinted windows and it worked really well..............

IMO Tinted windows look naff.

You don't need to tint them Neil, Phil never did and that looks the nuts.

I agree with the tinting the window. Think that would make it a difference.

I know it may not be what you want to hear, but you have asked what people think so it is my honest opinion.....

i think it looks too shiney and don't really match in with the other black bits on the door - the rubber round the door glass or round the door mirror.

If it was a matt black finished you won't need the window tinting as it a gloss finished ,even a slight tint on the glass would help

i have to say - matt you coulda got away without tinting, but with it being so glossy you could do with the glass darker

This is something that needs to be in person to look right.

Tints on silver cars is for homos.
Yeah very mature. Grow up wee man. :x

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, if it's constructive!

Somehow i doubt this looks like 'it's for homos'

The part where the black meets the silver on the pillar is what I don't like about it. I'm assuming the person who orginaly did this mod wanted to create an effect of one large window/area. In which case slight tints to the side windows would probably improve the look. Tints can look good when done proffesionaly and not too dark.

As it stands everyone has their own take, my view is biased. I like to keep my polo OEM.

I reckon people shouldn't be allowed to edit their posts after a certain time has passed, hard to see what everyone was arguing about. I gather philgti likes men is this correct?

It does look super shiney in that photo, it looks alot nicer face to face, the glossyness matches the shine of the windows, and paint work. I guess if the pillars where painted black they would be glossy not matt.

Some Light Tints would be nice but im not 100% sure on the law and dont want to be told to take them off by the police.

Plus I can only do cheap mods at the mo as im saving for a house with the misses.
