6n tweeters!!!

i want to change my tweeters!

but they have two plugs (4wires) in each tweeter, 2 brown and 2 brown and red and obviously my replacement tweeter only has two!

can i just conect them together (2brown etc....)

why have they got 4 wires in each tweeter?????

any help or suggestions welcombe

I arnt certain but i think if you tried to wire one red up and one brown it should work as they put in too many wires, but if not you could try wiring all the wires in. whenn u test it tho mate dont 4get to keep the output level low to be sure not to blow the speakers.

I think they are wired parallel to your door speakers - ie the wires go from head unit to the tweaters to the dorr speakers.

I'm pretty sure cos when i changed my door speakers i was going to re-wire them but noticed the standard wire headed up to the tweaters.

one of the plugs is the audio from the headunit and the other plug goes to the door speaker, just cut off the plugs and join the reds together and the browns then wire the tweeter to a red and a brown
