Fuses

Post by zahir_213 »

Im doing the install on my Polo and have done the power cable and the remote wire down the passenger side so far.
Im just wondering what fuse to get. Eventually I will be running 2 amplifiers. I have one Kicker KIX702 amplifier that has a 30Amp fuse on the amplifier, and then a JBL GTO 4000 which has two 20Amp fuses. So am I right in assuming that I will need a 70Amp fuse near the battery? I also have a fused distribution block in the boot, would I put a 30Amp and a 40Amp fuse in this?
Also im looking to get a circuit breaker from Maplin to make things even safer, and was looking at the two different ratings they have. There is a 60Amp and a 100Amp, so would i be better to go for the 100Amp one?

Thanks

Hi there

I've got 2 amps in my boot, one has a 30 Amp fuse and the other has a 25 Amp fuse...

IIRC I've got 1x 70 Amp fuse in the engine bay.
