Not got any pics at the moment, someone on here will though. I've got a Mk1 Polo - see members cars bit, that's similar! :D

Nice! :D Any1 know whats involved in swapping to chrome bumpers and the round headlights as the 1 I'm looking at is the facelift mk1, am guessing the parts are like rocking horse s**t! :?

That's what I'd have guessed too!!

but.. Looking at the secoond pic down.. it would appear that mk1 golf bumpers fit too, so if you cant get the Polo bumpers you may have a chance of sourcing some mk1 ones..

(unless mk1 bumpers are the bumpers you are talking about, in which case I'll shut up.)

Yeah, thats wot I fort 2! My mate runs Wolfsburg Edition so can get Golf one's no prob. Not sure if you would need slam panal and wings to convert to round headlights tho???? 8)

I would imagine so.

To change a mk1 golf from US-spec or Jetta front ends to round lights you need to change the slam panel, and the same with mk2 golf/jetta front ends... so I imagine the same would apply to polos.

You can swap the headlamps and Grille from a Square headlamp derby to a round lamp type without having to change the front panel.

Only problem is that the square headlamp grille clips in to slots on the front panel, which are exposed when you put the older round headlamp grille on. You could weld 'em up like i have though...
