My tyers are rubbing on my mudgard *help*

Post by Mac_daddy »

Heya, i've recently put a new set of 15inch honda jazz alloyz on car, with 195 50 15 tyers and they seem to be rubbing on my mudgard. But i've seen over polo's with the same wheel size and they still have the mudgard on with there alloys. Do i need a lower profile??

Lower Profile will help.

Or you could remove the mudguard?

Dunno like, iv heard by taking mudguards off it causes alot of stone chips along your door etc, obviously that'll be the front guards.

Wouldnt lowering it take the highest point of the tyre away from the bit its rubbing on the mudguard?

i cant see how having 15's will rub against your mud guard :S but anyway your better off with lower profile tyres lke 45 or 40, or like the others said, just take off your mud guards

Being in London mate you shouldn't be too far from R-Tec in St Albans.

Pop down there, I got 2 195/45/15 Toyo Proxes T1-S for £105.05 supplied and fitted.

Give them a bell - 01727 790100

Out of interest, where in SE London are you? I'm in West Wickham, near Bromley. If you're anywhere near Croydon though, my Dad has a tyre shop in Mitcham. He'll do you a good price on some new or part-worn 195/45/15's.

/Shameless plug mode off

His site is http://www.mitchamtyres.com/ there's directions in the "contact us" button at the bottom of the page. You'd probably want to talk to my dad, but he's off until Thursday. It'd be better if you went down after then, as he's offering £40 for one 195/45/15 Falken tyre, or £160 for 4, fitted, balanced etc.
