Leaking Rear Washer on 6N2

Post by CTR »

Hi guys,

new to the polo but have searched around regarding the above. I've read that this is fairly common but can't find any answers regarding how to remove the rear boot lid panel and how to actually fix the problem properly.

I have tried to remove the panel but managed to snap 2 of the clips so didn't carry on removing it. :(

Any advice would be much appreciated. :)

Yeah, we've tried that, they quoted around £100 to fix it. Which I thought was a bit steep to fix what potentially is just a leaky pipe. I'd like to see for myself what the problem is before forking out.

easy fix mate, to remove the panel these the two clips which you may have broken and if i remember correctly there are to screws on the panel somewhere long top,but check alround, the fitting had broken on mine part cheap and was in stock, get it repaired quickly as it can damage your central locking motor which is expensive

yea its easy to remove. Mine was leaking on to my central locking and making my alarm go off randomly and couldn't open my boot without the key :? luckily no permanent damage :D

the two screws can be found inside the boot pull handles on either side, then clips all the way around
