polo gti fan problem please help!

hi i have a 2000 x reg polo gti.

ok this morning i started the car and the fan kicked in straight away even on a cold engine.now the fan is constantly coming on and off very loudley.it come on for 5 seconds loudly and then turns off for 5 seconds and then comes back on loudly.its a constant process.

i am getting worried beacuse i need to know what it is and if its going to be costly.

please can some one help me pleasee!!!!!!!!

hey!

this is only a suggestion, but it might suggest that your temp sensor is up the creek - might think its hot then cold hot then cold etcetc. Probs worth gettin a VW garage to run some diagnostics,
