Valuation?

Post by enimadrummer »

The time has come to sell the polo, not too sure how much it will be worth with the modifications so was wondering what people thought...?

2000 1.0E, 45,000 miles, 5dr, 17" Wolface Street Mantis alloys,
Eibach Prokit -30mm springs, Full cat back custom SS exhaust,
black badges front n rear n de-badged polo lettering,
2 small dints - 1 behind left front wheel caused from some twats towbar (can see it on the first pic) -
2nd on pillar between windows from some chavs beer bottle on right hand side!!,
otherwise very good condition inside and out.

Just bought a Mk4 Golf 1.9 TDi Match hehe. Anyways, any help appreciated. Can sell with original steelies and hub caps if it will sell for more? I am thinking at least £2,500, hopefully more towards £3K if possible???

Cheers
Chris

i got 3.5k for mine in a part-ex and that was 1.0l with 35k and alloys and a bit of lowering and generally in good condition!
i think 2-2.5k is probably a fair price! u might wanna think about putting the original wheels on and the sell the alloys seperately!

To be fair it is quite a rare colour in my eyes, so that will help the sale along. You won't get more money for re-fitting the steels but you will sell it quicker with them on, you can always chuck the Wolfrace rims on eBay and get a few quid for them (I would hazard an estimate at £150).

If you still have the original chrome badges then I would offer these in the sale too, giving the buyer the option to put them back on if the black badges aren't their thing. Again, these are parts you can remove and put on eBay, the black front grille badge is no longer available from VW so is worth a little bit of cash.

Good luck

Am considering having the dints repaired before the sale, so then it would be in mint condition inside and out. Reckon it would be worth it? Will cost around £250 for repairs...

The alloys are in good nik with lots of tread on tyres and they cost around £600 with tyres new so hopefully would go for more than £150!! :D

I have just picked up a 3 door model totally 50k, FSH and standard in the same colour for £1800. It's a good time of year to buy but not to sell.
