Poor warm starting (diesel knock?) 1997 1.9 SDI
58,000 miles. The car starts OK from cold or hot but if you leave it for about an hour, it will be a pig to start. Keep turning over and there are terrible bangs and knocks, almost like the engine is firing at the wrong time - it's alaming. Eventually the thing will start but it is embarasing and can't be doing the engine any good. Any ideas?
