In desperate need of some help

I am not happy, when I had my suspension fitted the guy said there was a little play in the sus as I needed to change the front suspension mounting, also when on full left or right lock the steering "thumps", so off I did trot to GSF car parts to get myself some new mounts and bearings. Had them fitted today and the guy said they may not be the right ones as they did not fit correctly on the new suspension. The steering still thumps when you turn the steering wheel. The mounts I got from GSF as far as I understand were standard replacements, was I supposed to get uprated ones (if they exist), can someone help and tell me where I am going wrong.

sounds as though there the wrong top mounts mate.
