Mines a 1.3 with Weber carb / GK inlet manifold, fitted to a 3+E gearbox.

Mine averages 30mpg town stop start

but when you give it stick all the time it goes as low as 23-26 mpg

motorway journey with 50% abuse it got 38mpg

i reckon if you go easy on it, it will hit 45mpg easy enough.

40-45mpg 1272cc with a rather short 5 speed box.

not bad figures lads.....does the 1 ltr offer any benefits?? id imagine its working much harder and maybe wont offer much bettter economy

I seem to remember when it was first released, my 84 1.3 Coupe was the most economical car they did, actually moreso than the Formel E (but I think it was still a 1093 at the time). My fuel use is no different to my old 1.05 that I can see, just overtaking is a hell of a lot easier.
