fttrrrrrrrrrrrrrr' rrrrrrrrr

Post by 666kar »

We are having trouble with our 2003 polo it is making a 'fttrrrrrrrrrrrrrr' rrrrrrrrr' noise when moving of in 1st and 2nd gear.

When I get out and push down on the big plastic cover and rev away the rattling stops. We had a wee talk about and decided that the long drives would be more fun if one of us didn't have to do this.

I've had a quick look on the mighty internet for a guide / clue on how to remove / tighten this cover. Any clues or roughly pointing me in the right direction would be great. ?

Which big plastic cover is it?

The engine cover? What engine size is it?

It was really simple to fix...

Well there is a shiny plastic plate that clips onto the main engine cover. It has the VW badge and the shiny 1.2 12V. All that had happen was the badge had come loose.
