Acid Bath?!!

I was just reading a step-by-step to alloy refurbishing and the guy who wrote it referred to an 'acid bath' does anyone know any other names an acid bath might go by? Or any acid baths in North London? Basically it's for stripping alloys. I was using nitromors but its not easy getting into the smaller gaps.
